Makensie wrote this letter and asked me to mail it to Santa. But first, I thought I'd share it because I thought it was cute. Hope you enjoy!
Dear Santa,
I've always wondered if you were a christian or if your not. I'll tell you the real meaning of Christmas one day. There was a woman in heaven above that's name was Mary and the husband's name was Joseph and there was no room in Bethlehem City for them to have a baby and the last place they went to the people said we have a place where the animals sleep and they took the place and that's where they had a baby named Jesus. He was a king and he died on a cross for our sins and 3 days later he was alive. That's who delivered you when you were a baby, not your mom or dad.
P.S. love you
(I edited some of her spelling) :~)
As many of you know, Bobby & I don't do the "Santa thing" but we haven't really discouraged our kids from it either. Makensie likes the idea of a Santa Claus. So over the past couple of years we've left cookies and milk out for "Santa" on her behalf, and I've just let her believe what she wants. After all, although there is no physical Santa, the spirit of giving behind the meaning is always there. Bless her heart.
