Go Bay Bears!

We had the opportunity to go to our first Bay Bears baseball game at Hank Aaron Stadium last weekend in Mobile, AL. My niece Ember and nephew Josh, along with their dad invited us in celebration of Josh's 20th birthday. Ember had his name put up on the goal post, but they spelled his last name wrong. Oh well, it's the thought.
We had so much fun! The game was actually boring until the very end. No one would score, so they had to go into extra innings until someone finally did. Bay Bears won 1-0! It was fun to finally be able to get up and cheer really loud when they finally did score....ha! Ember & I were so goofy. It was a really fun outing for our little family of 4. We really enjoyed it. We didn't know who they were playing against until we got to the actual game, and we discovered that there is a baseball team in the minor leagues from MS. They are called the Mississippi Braves from Pearl. Bobby made a comment about how he didn't want to be a traitor, so he didn't know who to root for. In the end, it really didn't matter seeing what the score was. I just enjoyed the whole experience, and I'm glad my kids did, as well. Matthew, bless his heart, was extremely tired because he had stayed the night before at a friend's sleep-over party. They didn't go to bed til 3 AM and they swam and played really hard. He crashed when we finally got home! I think we all needed that little outing, though. It was therapeutic for me!
