"My Makensie"

I recently became friends on Facebook with Adrian's mom, and Adrian is a friend/classmate of Makensie's. Adrian's mom, Amanda is a FB friend of Makensie & Adrian's teacher, Miss Savage. Sooo...I found these pictures on Miss Savage's FB through Amanda's FB. Crazy, I know!

And these are a couple of pictures I found on Amanda's Facebook.
These were taken last summer at Adrian's 8th Birthday:

From left: Jordan, Kennedy, Adrian, Makensie, & ?

Adrian had an awesome slide for her party. Bobby took Makensie & Kennedy that day, so this is the first time I've seen pictures. It looks like they had a great time.

~Me~!

Yes, I am a year older as of Jan. 17. I am officially closer to 40 than 30 :( But, on the other hand, I'm celebrating *36* years of life the precious Lord above has seen fit to give me! Looking forward to many more years of this joyous life....the joy of the Lord is my strength!!!!!
"Daddy's girl"?

These are from New Year's Eve...Bobby & I always pick on her and ask her if she's "Daddy's girl" or "Mama's girl". She usually says "Both". But I know whose "girl" she really is :) She only says "both" to make her daddy feel good he he!

And by the way, when we ask Matt that same question, he undeniably and without hesitation says he's "Mama's boy" I love it! :)

Well, I tried upgrading my browser, but my videos that I uploaded for my previous (pictures) post from YouTube are still invisible. Is it showing up on anyone else's or is it just mine that it isn't appearing on? I don't know....

Dear Family & Friends:

Well, I am not sure what happened to my videos from my previous post, but I'm just going to leave that one alone. They are not showing up anymore. Maybe it has something to do with Youtube? Hopefully, they will reappear eventually. Anyway, on to my real purpose for this post:

I just want to share a new venture in my life that I am embarking upon. I have been trying to make up my mind about whether to go back to school and finish my degree. Actually, I will be switching gears, so I won't be finishing what I started, but rather moving into a different direction. When I first started out way back when, I was taking prerequisites for nursing. But that was then, and this is now. I have since finally made up my mind what I want to do. So, last spring I took a class called Mechanics of Communication, which is one of the classes required for the Business type degree I am interested in. It was extremely easy for me and of course, I made an A. But then I got sidetracked with indecisiveness, and so I didn't enroll in the fall. Over the past year, I've been thinking and thinking and thinking and of course, praying and thinking some more about what I want to do. After all, I'm not getting any younger and it's pretty much now or never. So, this spring I'm taking Accounting, which is another class I am required to take for that Business type degree. The degree program is actually called "Office Systems". And yes, it's only a two-year Associates of Applied Science degree, but I feel that at this point in my life, even this will be a challenge, albeit a reachable one. I don't see myself going four years. If I didn't already have a job that I already love and was tied down to, I certainly would consider four years. But I love my current job and do not plan to quit. So basically, obtaining this degree would be my "fallback". If for some reason I should get laid off, medical transcriptionists become obsolete, etc., I will have this degree under my belt. This will allow me to get a decent office job where I would be most comfortable if I did have to go outside the home and work again. So this is kind of my "security blanket" so I can stop worrying about what I would do if I lost my job. With all of this said, please say a short prayer for me every once in a while that I will make it through Accounting. Bobby has told me that he will help me all he can, and I am so thankful for that because I know I am going to need him. If I can get through this class, I think I can make it through all the others. Most of the others are computer type courses, and of course I will eventually have to take speech (which I'm dreading), but I think I can handle that if I take it on line. Please be in prayer for me from now to May that I don't flunk out! I will be praying for all of you in this new year. May God bless you!

My love to you all,
Jennifer
