The Circus

I picked up the kids from school yesterday and my mom and I took them to the circus, which was right up the road from our house at the mall. We liked the circus, but it was so hot in there! They really need to figure out a way to get air conditioning under the big top!

Leah's 30th Birthday Celebration

Our family took Leah out to Olive Garden for her 30th. It was my mom, my sisters (Kay & Vicki), my nieces (Dana & Katelyn & of course, Leah), my nephew (Shawn), my brother-in-law (Marc - Vicki's hubby), and Dana's hubby (Jordan, who is in the picture above). There were 10 of us altogether. The restaurant is located in an outlet shopping center in Malbis, AL. So after dinner, we went and ate ice cream at Marble Slab and then walked through the shops. I had a really nice time with my family. We all enjoyed it very much. Later, I told Bobby that I wish I was turning 30, and he said "Me too"!

Makensie's New Dresser

Yes! We finally found the perfect dresser for Mak's room. Actually, we haven't really been looking that hard. But last week on Bobby's day off, he and I went and ate lunch at BB's in Ocean Springs (OMG! SO GOOD). We both had the shrimp po-boy-yum! Anyway, after lunch we stopped at a furniture store to look at dressers. And lo and behold, there it was! I wasn't leaving that store without it! I am soooo happy! Makensie likes it, but doesn't fully appreciate it yet. She will as she gets older. Right now, though, I am the one that's excited :)

SLEEP-OVER

The kids each had one friend over this past weekend to spend the night. Matthew and Cody have been friends for going on four years. And Makensie considers Emily to be her best friend. She bought her a friendship necklace a few months ago. I thought that was so sweet, and these are the sweetest kids!
